Carol L. Hamilton
Carol L. Hamilton RN , CPIC, BScN, MDiv has worked for more than 30 years with new parents and infants in the Toronto area and more recently, Stratford, Ontario. She graduated from the University of Toronto with her degree in Nursing and worked for several years in the clinical areas of Obstetrics and Public Health nursing before opening her private practice in 1989. She has devoted years of study and research to the challenges of lactation, post-partum depression and bereavement. She continues to educate nurses and midwives through her continuing education courses and has written two publications for the nursing profession.
In 2001, she completed her Master of Divinity degree at the University of Toronto and was ordained as a minister in the Presbyterian Church in Canada. She has also received certification as a Bereavement Counsellor. As a result of a study visit to Malawi Africa in 2006 to study the HIV/AIDS crisis and issues affecting maternal and infant mortality, she has co-founded the not-for-profit corporation and Canadian registered charity, CHANGE HER WORLD where she currently sits on the Board of Directors as vice chair and treasurer. Carol brings a heart of compassion, expert knowledge and wisdom to each counselling situation allowing for effective self-discovery and healing.
Linda Willis BA is a retired career educator with expertise in Special Education. A degree in Sociology was earned from the University of Windsor. She has taken various leadership positions in both church and community organizations which have included being a member of the Board of Directors for the Chatham-Kent Women’s Centre, Luminary committee chair for the Cancer Relay for Life - Chatham and more recently, President of the Perth Regiment Chapter IODE. She also travelled to Malawi, Africa with Carol in 2006 as part of a HIV/AIDS study visit and is chair of the newly founded Board of Directors of the not-for-profit corporation and Canadian registered charity, CHANGE HER WORLD.
On her journey, Linda has encountered the challenges of single parenting, and been exposed to violence and addiction in others. From fear and hopelessness to the freedom of truth and dignity, she has come to recognize certain life principles which, if applied over time, can lead to wholeness and peace within self and in relationship with others. Those seeking Linda’s counsel will discover courage and personal empowerment which will be life changing.
